RAINDROP
$105
The Raindrop Technique is a gentle, yet profound modality that promotes deep relaxation and overall wellness in various body systems. Raindrop Technique theory and practice are based on a combination of techniques developed by D. Gary Young. These techniques include “feathering,” similar to effleurage (Native American, learned by a Lakota elder), Vitaflex (an ancient Tibetan reflexology re-discovered by Stanley Burroughs), and various other massage techniques, which are said to easily deliver therapeutic grade oils to the body on a cellular level via the spine and arches of the feet. The Raindrop Technique was developed with the mindset of approaching the body holistically: mind, body, and spirit. Relax and enjoy!
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
$115
Fascia is a three-dimensional web of tough connective tissue that runs from the top of our heads to the tips of our toes. Fascia surrounds and infuses every part of the body including bones, muscles, vessels, spinal cord, internal organs, and each individual cell. It, therefore, affects every system and function of the body. Because of this, MFR is considered deep tissue work despite its gentleness. This is also why when a Therapist works on your lower back you may get a referral pain/twinge on your face or your calf, or a number of different places. Because this technique is very slow, it is obviously a very focused approach and can involve repeat visits. The upside is that it is more effective and usually goes beyond a temporary fix for chronic areas. Clients will need to dress in athletic shorts (men) and athletic bra/shorts (women) for a quick structural evaluation before each session. For more information, ask the Venetian Service desk for a copy of the John Barnes Myofascial Release approach flyer.
MYOSKELETAL ALIGNMENT TECHNIQUE
Myoskeletal alignment techniques are a set of methods used to address misalignments and imbalances in the musculoskeletal system. These techniques often combine aspects of physical therapy, chiropractic care, and osteopathy. They focus on improving posture, reducing pain, and enhancing overall function by addressing issues in the alignment and movement of bones, muscles, and connective tissues. These techniques can be applied to various conditions, including back pain, neck pain, joint issues, and postural problems. They are often used in combination to provide a comprehensive approach to musculoskeletal health. If you are considering these techniques, collaborating with a qualified professional who has experience in myoskeletal alignment can help ensure you get a tailored and effective treatment plan. Each session includes assessment and muscle testing.

Sarga Bodywork

Sarga Bodywork is a unique form of massage therapy that combines barefoot techniques with myofascial release and deep tissue work. The therapist uses their feet, along with a fabric strap attached to the massage table, to apply deep, consistent pressure and traction. This method allows for a more fluid and dynamic session, effectively targeting areas of tension and discomfort.

Deep Tissue Release: The broad surface area of the therapist’s feet allows for deep penetration into the muscles.

Improved Circulation: Stimulates blood flow, promoting healing.

Enhanced Flexibility: Increases range of motion and reduces injury risk.

Stress Reduction: Provides deep relaxation and soothes the nervous system

Hot Bamboo Treatment
Hot bamboo treatment, also known as bamboo fusion massage, is a unique type of massage therapy that uses heated bamboo sticks to provide deep tissue work. This technique was popularized by Nathalie Cecilia, who found that using bamboo tools allowed her to apply deeper pressure without straining her hands and wrists. The warmth from the bamboo sticks helps muscles relax more quickly and thoroughly, like the effects of a hot stone massage. The bamboo sticks are used to roll and knead the tissue, which can help alleviate muscle tension and general aches and pains.
